Long time, very long no see! I am happy to finally Long time, very long no see! I am happy to finally give you a little life update. As some of you already might have noticed: I haven’t been active on here for the last few months. This was a conscious decision. I have been feeling the need to retreat for a while already and there’s a very good and beautiful reason for it: 🎉 My womb is currently busy creating another human being 😍💫✨ We are 28 weeks in and are beyond happy to welcome this new little soul in our arms in early summer. So, at the moment, everything I want to do is to retreat and bring my energy back to myself, my family, and my own projects. I’m very happy about all the steps and decisions I have been taking over the last few months. I feel like I’m growing a lot thanks to this little baby in my womb. He/she is challenging me to (finally!) bring my life force back to myself. And I can tell you: This is a HUGE step for me (you know, being a recovering good girl and all, being more concerned about the needs of others than mine). This means, I will only be on here very sporadically this year. I might post something here and there, I might not. I let my womb guide me. AND I’m having a huge print sale this month (GET 40% OFF OF ALL PRINTS AND STICKERS!), since my shop will be running on a very reduced level from April on for the time being (only my digital downloads and merch products will stay available). So if you ever thought of purchasing one of my prints or stickers, NOW is the time. This is the biggest discount I ever offered. Happy to share with you my newest illustration with this post. For a little context: I started painting her a few days after I got my eyes lasered almost one year ago. This painting will be on display for you to see in our group exhibition KUNST-STÜCK at @libelle.schwyz next Saturday, 19 November 2022. Little peek at this finished gouache piece THE SIG Little peek at this finished gouache piece THE SIGHT. I started this painting last year, right after Christmas. During a time when I had to keep my eyes away from screens as much as possible because I got them lasered right after the winter solstice. To help me through the process of healing, I went on a self-guided visual journey within. What I experienced on this journey, was deep and powerful and this painting is reflecting exactly that. An elderly woman, a shaman, a healer, a medicine woman, equipped me with a new pair of eyes. Water magic and snake energy were involved, also prayers, and the knowing of being held, a feeling of being safe and taken care of. It was deep and beautiful. I still remember this meditation as if I experienced it yesterday. The power of visualization, imagination and guided meditation is what I work with in my Creatrix Sessions. I’m holding these creative and relaxing evenings with a small group of women. And what the guided journeys and intuitive creativity are gifting to us, is truly miraculous, deep, and wonderful. I’m in awe of what the women experience every single time. If you’re interested in joining my last event this year on 23 November 2022, please let me know. I am happy to have you. Creating a Wild Woman Portrait always brings me a Creating a Wild Woman Portrait always brings me a lot of joy. My intention is to capture a wild, pure and true essence of the woman I portray. To intuitively SEE HER in her power, beauty, and authenticity and channel this energy into my creation. I “receive” the pieces very intuitively. Often I already get an idea when I am on a call with the woman herself or with a close person of hers who wants to gift the painting to her. But also as often, the painting needs some time to reveal itself to me. Over the years, I learned to trust this creative process. The time the painting needs to be conceived, gestated, and then finally be born and created. I’ve only just realized (thanks to my beautiful friend and coach @movejulie), that not only the main theme of my art is the wild feminine, but also the way I function and how I create is very feminine. So I am in the process of even more deeply embracing the wild feminine within myself and my creative practice. This piece I had the honor to create for a 15-year young woman. Her mother commissioned it for her birthday. What a special gift to honor this important and beautiful initiatory phase of a growing woman. Eine kleine Auszeit für dich! Wir verbinden uns an diesem Abend bewusst mit unserem kreativen Zentrum, unserem Schossraum. Ich führe dich nach einer kurzen Einstimmung im Kreis auf eine innere Reise an einen wunderbaren Ort in dir selbst. Ein Ort der Heilung und tiefen Entspannung, wo du Antworten, Einsichten, Bilder, Visionen, Gefühle oder einfach nur Frieden erleben kannst. Danach hast du Raum und Zeit, das Erfahrene kreativ auszudrücken. Ganz intuitiv. Mit Malen, Zeichnen, Collagen. Zum Abschluss gibt es einen kleinen Ausklang in der Runde. Es geht an diesem Abend nicht darum, mit einem tollen Bild nach Hause zu gehen. Es geht viel mehr darum, dass du etwas erlebst und erfährst. Über dich. Von dir. Gehalten in einem kleinen Kreis von Frauen. Es geht um Entspannung, Sein, Kreativität. Ohne Druck. Eintauchen in unsere weibliche Kraft. Mit viel Freude und Vertrauen. Wir treffen uns noch unter der (ausklingenden) Neumond Energie. Perfekt, um in sich zu gehen, zu entspannen und neue Absichten für den neuen (Mond-) Zyklus zu setzen. . Ich freue mich auf dich!
